BMAT, a global leader in music technology and rights and royalties data, is proud to announce a new partnership with KODA, the collecting society for songwriters, composers and music publishers of Denmark.
This new strategic alliance between BMAT and KODA is a forward-looking step that will provide KODA with BMAT’s industry-leading digital rights and royalties technology and service solutions. The partnership will enable faster processing cycles, more accurate matching rates, leading to operational improvements and efficiencies at scale across KODA’s digital value chain.
With this decision, KODA is forging its own path to an ever more efficient and powerful rights and royalties management system. KODA’s choice to partner with BMAT underscores a commitment to next-generation technology that delivers solutions to handle the complexities of today’s digital music ecosystem.
“We’re thrilled to partner with KODA at this pivotal moment. This partnership demonstrates our shared vision for a more transparent and fair music industry for creators. We’re eager to deploy our cutting-edge technologies, our flexible and agile development capacities and our obsession for service for the Nordic leader,” said Iñigo Ugarteburu, CEO of BMAT.
“Over the years, we’ve had the opportunity to collaborate with BMAT and have followed their growth with keen interest. Their proven ability to process complex, multi-source data from DSPs is essential in today’s music rights landscape. This partnership is grounded in real-world experience and a shared understanding of the challenges facing modern rights management. We’re excited to reinforce Koda’s digital infrastructure with a partner whose technology and insight will help us navigate an increasingly dynamic and data-driven ecosystem”, says Koda’s CEO, Gorm Arildsen.
BMAT’s Music Operating System processes massive, multi-source usage datasets and aligns them with authoritative rights and repertoire information, deploying industry standards (e.g., ISWC/ISRC, DDEX), to provide neutral, cleansed and distributable data for societies, publishers, labels, DSPs and broadcasters and the creative community worldwide.
Since 2010, BMAT has been helping global music rights organisations monitor music usage across multiple platforms and formats, process vast multi-source datasets, align them with authoritative rights information, and transform them into neutral, distributable data. Today, they provide custom solutions for over 130 Collective Management Organisations and Performance Rights Organisations in 66 countries. In the Northern region alone, BMAT powers music operations for 6 rights organisations across 4 countries.
Together, BMAT and KODA will deliver a phased onboarding plan and communicate operational milestones in due course.
